Prefab Steel Tanks: Stainless.
The tanks can be calculated and offered according to one of the following standards:
NEN/ TGB, DIN, AWWA D103-87, API, BS, etc.
Tank type: Stainless steel
Designed as the enamelled steel tank type. Can be supplied in Stainless steel AISI 304, 316, 316 TI etc.
Standard prepared concrete floor. After the tank erection, the tankwall can be concreted in place or the tankwall can be placed on an existing slab, depending on the floor-type.
Concrete protecting floor-types:
Sealing is brought about by applying mastic on the edges and in between the excentricconnection of the enamelled and stainless steel sheets on the in- and outside of the tank and between the tankwalls and (concrete or steel) floor.
On the inside of the tanks the hot-dipped galvanised flat bolt heads are covered by a medium resistant plastic cap (LDPE or PVDF). On the outside the nut and washer are covered by a weather and UVradiation-resistant LDPE cap. The bolt heads can also be covered by mastic.
1 Or 2 component mastictypes, with high chemical resistance and adhesion porperties, longterm resistance to actual chemical and temperature attack. Chemical resistance listst are available. Some with FDA approval.
2 Component epoxy coating protecting the concrete floor against occuring chemical attack and temperature changes. Chemical resistance listings available. Fulfills to DIN 2000 (suitable for drinkingwater) and FDA approved.
Flexible floor and wall- linings
Flexible linings: nominal layerthickness= 1,5 mm, depending on medium type and agressivness.
At 20°C the allowable stress of the material is 370% and at 60°C it is 500%. Chemcoat S specific is resistent to many solvents, all mineral oilproducts, acid- and hydroxy-solutions. For every specific medium the lining will be checked on longterm suitability. The chemical resistance list is available.
The GRP is build up out of the chemical resistent isophtalic resin. The glassfiber reinforcement concerns the "woven glass" of the water resistent E-type according to any local standards. The roofs can be designed for several loadings or pressures and can be self- or centre supported.
Depending on diameter and type these roofs can be freespan or centrally supported. The finish can be hot dipped galvanised, enamelled or 2-component epoxy-coated. Some types can be designed for overpressures up to +1000 mm watergauge and underpressures down to -50 mm watergauge. Depending on diameter and type they can be walked on or not.
Aluminum dome Roofs
Aluminum dome roofs are always all-aluminum, so they are lightweight, corrosion-resistant and maintainance-free. Longer life-time, lower costst. Very strong and versatile.
These roofs are made of a GRP system and finished by a PVC or PE type coating. GRP straps run from the top of the roof to the top profile of the tankwall; the GRP straps carry the roof-, wind- and snowload and take care of a constant roof angle of 15°. Because the longterm modulus of elasticity has a higher value then the shortterm modulus, the membrane after many years remains taut. The physical properties of the membrane are tested according to DIN 16726 and DIN 53361.
